Set in the heart of downtown Raleigh, Boxcar combines craft beer, pinball machines, air hockey, and classic arcade games under one roof. It was the setting of our first date night and, exactly one year later, the place where DeMar proposed.

One of our favorite weekend morning traditions: a beloved breakfast spot surrounded by dozens of vendors and specialty shops. Whether it's Craig making a beeline for the sunflower bread or DeMar sneaking home another plant, rarely do we leave empty-handed.

Inspired by our shared enjoyment of tabletop and collectible card games, Raleigh Players Guild is Craig's dream of opening his own local game store. Craig is leading the vision, while DeMar is happily helping behind the scenes, as together we hope to create a place where game nights, tournaments, roleplaying campaigns, and new friendships can thrive.

Authentic Japanese cuisine, gracious hospitality, and a menu full of classics make Waraji easy to recommend. If we're ordering, Craig is getting the katsudon and DeMar the tonkotsu ramen. We'd steer you toward either without hesitation.

Lively, energetic, and known for Mediterranean-inspired tapas, Madre is a standout dining destination. Don't miss the croquetas and pulpo. Behind the bar, Craig always gravitates toward blanco tequila, while DeMar rarely passes up a drink built around sweet vermouth.
